I literally went from the luxuries of technology boardrooms to staring down the barrel of a gun. I used my skills from the first to survive the second—forging an innate set of analytical abilities, a “burn the boats” mindset, and a courage that few possess, yet many can benefit from.

THE TURNING POINT

As a technology executive and mother, my world collapsed following my sixteen-year-old son’s brain tumor diagnosis. Exactly one year after his surgery, a routine Saturday afternoon quickly turned into a nightmare: we were surrounded by Sheriff and DEA units, dragged from our vehicle at gunpoint, and thrust into a devastating legal and medical spiral. In the wake of the arrest, I lost everything—my career, my home, half of my family, and my sense of security.

Facing unimaginable losses, while navigating the catastrophic intersection of medical negligence and my son's criminal conviction, I refused to be a victim. Instead, I weaponized my executive forensic skills to hunt for the truth, eventually uncovering suppressed ballistic evidence and securing the medical diagnosis that finally explained the "why" behind our tragedy. As it turns out, my son is not a criminal, yet rather the victim of an undiagnosed delusional brain disorder caused by his brain tumor removal, medical negligence post-op and over-prescribed epilepsy medications.

Now an author, speaker, and advocate, I am the architect of From Shitshow to Sunshine—a battle-tested survival manual for those navigating their own impossible storms. My story is a powerful testament to the truth that while a crisis may be temporary, human resilience is permanent.
